Halloween Date Change – Are You On board?
With Halloween quite a few months away talks of changing the date that Halloween is celebrated on to the last Saturday in October (which would be the 26) has been trending on social media platforms, blogs, forums and news sites. Change.org started this petition where to date about 135,391 and counting individuals have and are still participating by signing up

Skittles, M&Ms , Twix , and Mars Inc, parent company of Snickers has jumped on the band wagon in support of this Halloween date change. Should the change occur the Mars Inc company will freely donate up to one million of their delicious, mouthwatering snicker bars to the American public. “If the federal government makes this thing official, we’re offering up to one million free Snickers to America. No tricks, only treats.” This was stated by a Snickers representative Josh Olken, Brand Director for Snickers. Below is the official tweet from snickers pledging free snickers.
Why The Date Change
The reason for this Halloween date change is to make allowance for celebrating Halloween on the weekend so that it would be a “Safer, Long, Stress-Free celebration!” They further believe that an all day Halloween celebration as opposed to the traditional night time would lessen injuries associated with the celebration
State Farm, America’s well known auto insurance company hooked up with Bert Sperling , a research Expert of Sperling’s BestPlaces and came to the conclusion that, Halloween Was Deadliest Day of the Year for Child Pedestrian Accidents. Read their full findings here.
